Ancestry launched AncestryHealth in 2019, building on its successful AncestryDNA testing service, which has genotyped more than 18 million customers to date. The company said it in part decided to discontinue AncestryHealth to invest more in its AncestryDNA offering.

If you cancel just the Ancestry.com subscription within the first 30 days of placing your order, you will receive a refund equal to the price paid for package minus the cost of the DNA testing service if purchased separately.

To report a problem from a record detail page, click Add or update information or Report a problem and follow the steps to submit your correction. To report an error from a record image, click the tools icon on the right side of the page and select Report problems, then follow the steps to submit your correction.

In the top-right corner of their profile page, click Tools and select Member connect. On the Member Connect page, click the Suggested Connections tab. You'll see a list of people who likely have the same person in their trees. To save a tree on the list, click Connect.

How far back your ancestry DNA tests go depends upon the type of DNA being tested, the type of DNA test used, and the test's sensitivity. Most people can learn about their maternal and paternal ancestry as far back as six to ten generations.

There are loads of reasons why people might not answer emails - they lose interest in genealogy, change their email address, only ever did the test for the ethnicity estimate, etc etc etc. If you click on the person's name it will show their account profile and how long it is since they last logged into Ancestry.

Samples should be returned in the small bag included in the DNA kit. The return mailer can be dropped directly into the mail, even in extreme temperatures. The postage and address will be on the box; return shipping is covered in the original shipping cost, so no additional postage is necessary.

Viewing records on your tree: Any records attached to your tree that require a membership, won't be visible after your membership ends, but they'll stay linked to your tree. If you resubscribe (to the same membership level or higher), you'll be able to view them again.
