We had an overall good experience. We stayed on the 17th floor and our housekeeper , Zya, was the absolute sweetest kindest person I have ever met. Overall, the cruise served its purpose...a few days of R&R. With that said, Carnival really needs to up their game with regard to food quality. In short it was horrible. The MDR was the worst for dinner, I sent 3 of 4 meals back. The only dinner that was actually good was the up charged Filet and Lobster tail which was very much worth it. Embarkation> was smooth, our cabin was ready at around 1:30pm and our luggage arrived shortly after. Cabin> we had a balcony cabin on the spa deck. We have went on several cruises with Norwegian and Royal Caribbean, but not Carnival Freedom. We had several issues before leaving with CF after we did an upgrade to our room. They charges us again for soda and gratuities after the upgrade.
