Cyprus is warming up nicely in April with average daily high temperatures around 23-24ºC, though some days will feel considerably hotter. On top of that, you can expect an average 8-9 hours of daily sunshine, well worth the 4 hours 30 minutes you spent flying from the UK.

Head to the west of the island for the best of the weather in April. The warmest and sunniest resort is Limassol, closely followed by Paphos. There is very little rain in April: on average you might see a light shower on 3-5 days throughout the month.

April is a wonderful time for walking and enjoying the wild flowers before the heat of summer descends. Try to visit the beautiful Troodos Mountains.
