How do I close a position? (2024)

All open positions will appear in the ‘positions’ tab on the left hand side of the platform. To close the trade click on the appropriate ‘close’ button on the same row. You will then need to confirm by clicking the highlighted ‘close’ button again. You also have the option to close all positions on a specific currency pair by clicking ‘close all positions’. Please note that you will need to close the oldest positions first.

Alternatively, you can open a trade ticket and enter a trade in the opposing direction – this will offset against any open positions on a first-in, first-out basis. You can also part-close a position by opening a trade ticket and entering the size you wish to close, before trading in the opposing direction.

If you have ‘1-click trading’ enabled the ‘close’ button will automatically be green and only require one click.
