Summary of Weather in Paphos & Cyprus

Cyprus has one of the best climates around but please consider the type of property you are renting at any particular time of year. Villas with private pool are generally not a good option December to February as the pool is freezing. Consider a property with proper central heating in these months also as air-conditioning is not great for heat as it dissipates so quickly and creates a bad atmosphere.

If renting in July and August when temperatures are fierce, maybe it’s best to be a bit higher up unless you are right on the Sea to get a cooling breeze. The top of Peyia, the mountain villages (Kathikas, Lysos, Peristerona), Tala, Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills are the best places to be in these months.

In the same vein it may be wiser to stay somewhere in the lower reaches of Peyia, in Coral Bay, Sea Caves or Agios Georgios in shoulder months like April and October.
