The blue economy is swiftly transitioning from the traditionally known maritime infrastructure and operations to a new sustainable, tech-enabled and fast-paced circular ecosystem connecting oceans, coastal areas, in-land waters, and space.
BlueInvest aims to boost innovation and investment in sustainable technologies for the blue economy, by supporting readiness and access to finance for early-stage businesses, SMEs and scale-ups. It is enabled by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund.
It explores investment opportunities, prospects and innovation in the 10 identified sectors: Aquaculture, Blue Biotechnology, Blue Renewable Energy, Blue Tech & Ocean Observation, Coastal & Maritime Tourism, Environmental Protection & Regeneration, Fisheries, Shipbuilding & Refit, Shipping & Ports, Water Management.
BlueInvest is also supporting key player and enablers connect across the blue ecosystem through its community platform.
